During a House Committee on Ways and Means meeting in March, Congressman Mike Kelly highlighted the significant impact that Opportunity Zones could have on revitalizing communities.
Kelly looked specifically at downtown Erie, Pennsylvania where the provision of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has been able to draw business to the area in a dramatic comeback.
The Congressman was so pleased with the changes this policy has made he invited the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Steve Mnuchin, to visit the city to experience first-hand the policy’s success.
