“Never in our nation’s history has it been more important to have elected officials committed to these principles and it is incumbent upon us to support them.” – Bob Asher, Republican National Committeeman
A Year In Review
Though it is impossible to totally capture the impact KAP had has on Pennsylvania elections year over year, we feel that creating transparency and engaging donors in our activities is vital to the process. Here are some helpful data points that show what the Keystone Alliance PAC has been able to accomplish in 2020.
In 2020, the Keystone Alliance PAC was able to help 25 elections, 13 more than we were able to support last year. We were able to contribute to eleven Pennsylvania Congressional elections, thirteen additional Congressional elections around the country, while also being able to support a Presidential candidate committee. Next year we hope to contribute to more, but we need help from donors like you.
This year, the Keystone Alliance PAC is grateful to all of the donors who made our elevated contribution levels possible. Our initial donations received to the PAC totaled $117,255.10, while our donations totaled $68,000.00. Through your efforts, we were able to raise almost $45,000 more than last year, which enabled us to increase our support to Republicans in an important election cycle. This includes our annual event which was attended by over 70 guests (limited due to COVID-19 restrictions), as well as four members of Congress and one Congressional candidate. We hope that next year we can increase both our donations to federal candidates and our annual event audience. This is only possible with the contributions we receive from our donors. If everyone who read this newsletter gave $500, we would be able to influence at least another 20 elections!
The Year Ahead:
While every year is important in the world of politics, 2020 has proven to be one of the most crucial years our country and this PAC has encountered. With Democrats experiencing massive fundraising waves and multiple close races for Congressional seats, it was more important than ever to support incumbent Republicans in Pennsylvania and nation-wide. With the help of donors like you, the Keystone Alliance PAC was able to contribute to successful campaigns in the Commonwealth and support leaders who will bring our shared Republican values to the U.S. Congress.
We cannot grow complacent with the victories we have seen in the 2020 election. Rather, we must enter the new year strong to be able to support candidates who can help us flip seats in our favor in coming elections. We were able to maintain our 9 seats in Pennsylvania, but three candidates that KAP supported nearly flipped seats in the General Election. With increased support from KAP and our donors, we may be able to make the difference in 2021 and show our support for candidates who will change the balance in Pennsylvania.
Support from the Keystone Alliance PAC was also influential in narrowing the Democratic Majority in the U.S. House to its slimmest in modern times, helping Republicans gain an unprecedented 13 seats and leaving the spread at 222 to 213. Our gains in the U.S. House have made the upcoming Georgia Senate races all the more important. The majority of the U.S. Senate is at stake, and is the only thing standing between us and a Democratically led Legislative and Executive Branch. We are working to maintain those two seats and, with your help, KAP plans to be at the forefront of the movement to elect PA Republicans and support Republicans across the country.
Please consider donating to KAP ahead of the 2021 election cycle and take a minute to fill out our donor survey to tell us about your experience with the PAC. As always, we are grateful for your continued support of the Keystone Alliance PAC and hope to see you at our future events! From all of us at the Keystone Alliance PAC, Merry Christmas and we wish you well in the New Year!
